To Celebrate Summer at Margaux
On this evening, I brought my three boys. We were greeted warmly by our server who immediately poured complimentary champagne for me and sparkling cider for the boys—a small but thoughtful touch that set the tone for what would be a beautiful meal.
A live jazz singer accompanied by a piano filled the air with soft music while a birthday party unfolded in the corner, complete with pink helium balloons and pastel gifts. The energy was vibrant yet warm. Outside, a meticulously planted herb garden could be glimpsed through the sheer ivory drapes, hinting at the kitchen’s commitment to fresh ingredients.
As the sun began to set, its rays bounced off the glassware, adding sparkle to the table settings. The bartender behind the bustling lounge wore sunglasses to cope with the intense light as a lively group of wedding guests laughed and gathered around the bar.
But by 6:45 p.m., they dispersed, and the entire dining room seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. Conversations softened, the mood turned calm, and dinner arrived.
